The Central Iowa Chapter of the Project Management Institute invites inquiries from speakers to present at our monthly chapter meetings, put on workshops or present at our annual Professional Development Day.

To be considered for a speaking engagement, speakers must have expertise in Project Management with a focus on one of the following areas:

  • Communication Management
  • Cost Management
  • General Business and Management
  • Integration Management
  • Organizational Project Management
  • Portfolio Management
  • Procurement Management
  • Program Management
  • Quality Management
  • Resource Management
  • Risk Management
  • Scope Management
  • Time Management
  • Tools and Techniques
  • Networking
  • Coaching/Mentoring
  • Other Applicable Soft Skills
  • Agile Project Management

Chapter Meetings allow for a 60 minute presentation including time for questions and answers.  They are held either as a luncheon or as an evening presentation.

Workshops are scheduled as half or full days and typically precede or follow a chapter meeting.

Our Professional Development Day is held each year in October and we have opportunities for keynote speakers as well as breakout speakers.  We typically set the theme for the year and try to build our programs off of the theme.  The 2013 theme is “Beyond the Book” and will focus on the core competencies of the PMBOK, taking our skills to the next level.

We ask that you submit an application (see link below) to the Director of Programs who will contact you upon receipt of the application.
