Session 1: The 5 Most Important Moments in Your Career (Leadership)

What defines a career? What are those key moments that will shape the work that you do and define who you are happily ever after? These crucial, defining moments are what will lead you

to career success and happiness. How do you know when these moments will happen? How can you learn from them? Most people will say they did not recognize these important

moments happening until much later. The problem? You could wait an entire lifetime if you take that approach. And who wants to wait that long for career happiness? Come join me for a dynamic and eye opening session that will help you not only recognize the most important moments of your career but help you define the impact you have on people, your projects and your organization when you have them.

Key Learnings: 1. Learn what the top 5 moments in your career are. 2. Learn how to accelerate these top 5 moments. 3. Understand how you impact the people, the projects and the organization when these moments occur. 4. Learn my personally designed model for change readiness that you will use to determine your appetite for new change and new career moments.

Session 2: Preventing the Rise of Super Hero Project Villains: PM and BA Role Overlap

Have you been in the scenario where the project was going well and then out of the blue the PM or the BA turned into a Super Hero Project Villain? What's up with that? Often, we will point to role clarity. Clarify the role and the problem clears up, right? What I often find is how one defines 'role clarity' is not the same as understanding what is happening in our ever changing technology approaches that impact today's roles. Not understanding role overlap and the nuances of how to handle it can create Super Hero Project Villains. Truly understanding the overlaps, the similarities, the dos and don'ts are so much more than just clarifying roles. It is not enough to say "You do the plan and you do the requirements." It is the more finite areas of why a PM might need to step in on a nonfunctional requirement or a BA steps in to enforce a project milestone. Then complicate that with Agile practices, DevOps, and Digital Transformation its no wonder why Super Hero Project Villains are created. In this dynamic and entertaining session we will take role clarity and overlaps to a whole new level and prevent the rise of the Super Hero Project Villain!

Attendees will: Understand role clarity in today's world. How to get comfortable with ambiguity and role overlap. Develop a checklist that helps you understand role overlap on your projects before problems can set in.

Session 1 topic is categorized under the Leadership Talent Triangle and Session 2 topic is categorized under Technical Talent Triangle.
