On April 23, 2019, PMI-Central Iowa's Book Club for PDUs hosted a live video conference with author John Stenbeck at the West Des Moines Public Library. After book club members read and discussed The Project Managers Guide to Understanding Agile in the PMBOK 6^th Edition and the Agile Practice Guide, John spoke about intriguing topics including the future of Agile and our role as PMs in influencing and empowering our profession. His approach to using Agile and Predictive methods harmoniously were incredibly insightful. Coincidentally, he will also be a keynote speaker for the 2019 Professional Development Day on September 27^th.

The PMI-CIC Book Club for PDUs meets for one hour the last week of every month. A new book is introduced every month, so you are able to jump in at any time. Joining is FREE for PMI-CIC members, and the format is very casual. Our objective is to discuss interesting project management topics while earning PDUs by reading and informal learning. Each month of reading and discussion earns about 1-4 PDUs. If you are new to PMI-CIC or just getting back in, this is the perfect setting to get your feet wet.
